About the project

What is Oxford Trees of Life?

We all have a tree that means something to us — one we pass every day, one we climbed as a child, or one that simply stops us in our tracks.

Oxford Trees of Life invites everyone to photograph, paint, or draw their favourite tree and share it with the city. Your submissions will be displayed in our online gallery and map, and a curated selection will be exhibited as part of Oxfordshire Artweeks.

It could be in your garden, your local park, or anywhere in Oxfordshire (or beyond!)

Capture It

Take a photo, create a drawing or painting — however you want to celebrate your tree. Upload it through our simple form.

Share Your Story

Tell us why this tree is special to you. Your image and story will appear in the online gallery, interactive map, and in the exhibition.

Who Can Take Part?

Everyone. You don’t need to be a professional photographer or artist — just someone who appreciates the trees of Oxford.

All ages are welcome to take part.
